Summer Legal Intern Program

Are you a student passionate about immigration law?

Our summer legal intern program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from our seasoned attorney, and build your professional network.

Here’s everything you need to know:

  • Our summer legal intern program runs for 8-10 weeks, providing a comprehensive immersion in the field of immigration law. Internship program does not guarantee any future employment opportunity at the conclusion of the internship.

  • This program is open to fourth year undergrad students who aspire to have a career in law and/or to third year law students who have a keen interest in immigration law.

    • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills are required

    • Prior knowledge of immigration law is helpful, but not required

    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, independent work environment is required

    • Successful completion of background check is required

  • Interns will engage in real-world legal work, including:

    • Case Preparation

      Assist in preparing cases under the supervision of an experienced attorney

    • Client Meetings

      Observe and participate in client consultations

    • Research

      Conduct legal research to support ongoing cases and projects

  • This is a volunteer program and no monetary compensation is provided. However, the experience and knowledge gained through our summer legal intern program are invaluable and set a strong foundation for a career in immigration law.

    If you like, you may travel for certain networking events (i.e., annual gala, conferences, etc.), court hearings, and/or client meetings, etc. Travel expenses are not reimbursable.

  • Throughout the internship, interns will have the chance to:

    • Attend legal workshops and seminars

    • Participate in networking events and dinners with legal professionals

    • Enhance their understanding of immigration law

    • Build valuable professional connections

  • Interns are expected to:

    • Commit to part-time hours

    • Maintain confidentiality

    • Adhere to the highest ethical standards

  • Performance reviews will be conducted at the midpoint and end of the program to provide valuable feedback.

Orientation

Accepted interns will receive an orientation schedule and necessary paperwork to prepare for their role.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a virtual or in-person interview, where they will discuss their qualifications, goals, and interest in immigration law.
